Stay at the heart of Roma
Great place to stay and Umberto, the staff personnel was excellent. He is the epitome of customer service. Hotel Berrett was a great choice as it is close to Metro / Trams and walk-able distance to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain etc. Bunch of good breakfast places and very safe.

We loved our experience here. Everyone was so helpful. The hotel is in a great location. We could easily walk to all of our destinations-plus there is public transportation right in front of the hotel. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone traveling to Rome.

A quaint hotel, fabulous location for sight seeing
We stayed at the Barrett Hotel from August 20 through August 23. The hotel is in a great location to sight see in Rome. The staff is friendly and the air conditioning works great! The room and the private bathroom are a bit small but well maintained and decorated uniquely. Bottom line is that I would stay there again because the staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean with extra little amenities such as a free mini-bar. It is just a great location right next to a taxi stand and within walking distance to several sights.

Great location, very friendly, and a funky vibe!
The centralized location was ideal for walking to major Rome sites. Front desk people were extremely friendly. The decor of the lobby, hallways and room were funky cool, unlike any other hotel. Room was a bit cramped (as is most of Europe) and "breakfast" involves eating in your room, but these negatives were overcome by all the rest of the positive aspects.

Weird Place
This hotel is in a great area. However I would not stay here again and I definitely would not feel comfortable staying here by myself (I did not feel that comfortable staying here even with my husband). The hotel is extremely cluttered and messy, and the room is filled with strange “extras” like an old back massager, hot dog toaster and foot spa. This would have been fine but it makes it hard to maneuver around your small room. My main concern happened in the morning. As we walked downstairs to leave for the day the man who had worked reception the night before was on the couch in the main lobby with a blanket and pillow and looked like he just woke up. It was very strange and unprofessional and I didn’t have a good feeling about the place already.
