Marvelous Winter Countryside Stay
Hotel Borealis is a wonderful property just inside Pingvellir National Park about 40 miles southeast of Reykjavik. The countryside is spectacular and the property is rustic, but cozy. We loved everything about it. Add the Winter full moon and you have a perfect stay.

The hotel was perfect and the dinner at the hotel restaurant was amazing! Our tour in the area was canceled due to a storm closing the road however the woman at the front desk was able to provide excellent advice on things to do in the area and we stayed busy enjoying ourselves! The bartender was the best we’ve ever had! The second night that we stayed we went out to the hot tub and were the only ones in it. The Northern Lights played a show all in the sky above us and it was spectacular! The best part of our trip by far!
