We loved Hotel 2 Stay!!! We spent 4 super comfortable nights here during our honeymoon through Europe, our final stop being Amsterdam. Upon arrival we were greeted by their friendly receptionists, Nouhaila and Marsha. They both helped us with things to do and how to get around. We even received a bottle of red wine and waffle cookies as a welcoming gift. Hotel 2 Stay is beautiful and extremely clean. We loved our room, which had an equipped kitchenette. The hotel also has a self service laundry facility, which was so convenient. Their common areas are cool and comfortable, making you feel at home. You can tell the administrators/owners take pride in their hotel as they were swapping nice furniture for even nicer furniture while we were there. There was always cleaning staff around making sure everything was kept clean and tidy. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the Amsterdam Sloterdijk station. We arrived by bus and departed by train from this same station. We also used the tram every day to get to the sights. The tram was located practically right outside the hotel. It couldn’t have been more easy. Everything in Amsterdam was a short tram ride away. Upon the recommendation of Nouhaila, we purchased the GVB pass for the entire stay. This gave us unlimited rides on the tram, buses, and more. We were able to hop on and off wherever we wanted without worrying about paying. You get your money’s worth right away. We were so happy to have selected Hotel 2 Stay.

Great location, great city.
As a party of 4 we have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. The location is great just across the road from Sloterdijk Station. Trains run into Amsterdam Station very frequently. It has great connections to the airport too. We went to the Dutch bulb fields Kuekenhof from Sloterdijk to Schiphol then a 858 bus. We purchased the tickets from the shop AOK(in the station) for 29 euros- so didn't pay the high price of 55 euros through travel agents. It was so easy to do it yourself. We spent the whole day there, 3 hours on an organised trip is not long enough. The colours and smells of the flowers were wonderful. Sloterdijk also has a bus and tram station so caught the tram one day direct to the Rijksmuseum. So basically this hotel is in a great location. It was lovely each night to leave the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam to travel 5 minutes out for peace and quiet. There is a Spar supermarket next to the station that sells everything you need, great sandwiches and cakes . The rooms in the hotel have a hob and microwave ovens and fridge, perfect to have a nice cup of tea when you get back. Rooms were spacious , clean and new. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was reasonably priced for Amsterdam and would love to return as there was still so much to see we just ran out of time enjoying ourselves! One word of warning- be very observant when crossing the roads, look out for bikes, trams and cars. it's chaotic.

Very Good 8.0
Rooms reminded me a bit of a college dorm. Entrance leads to a fully equipped kitchen with stove top, microwave, dishwasher, fridge w/small freezer, cooking utensils, pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, even wine goblets. Fairly spacious, sparsely furnished but utilitarian. No chest of drawers but closet had shelving. One of the sliding doors on the closet was sticking. There was a room safe but I couldn't get it to work. Open shower concept, have to be careful not to get water all over bathroom when showerieng. No counter space in bathroom, just a small glass ledge over sink. No shampoo supplied, just bath wash. Reasonable number of cable channels on TV including english channels but my TV lost its cable signal in the last few days of my stay. Hotel located right next to major transportation hub, lots of intercity train lines, just 10 minutes from Schipol aiport by train. Number 22 bus goes right into central station in 20 minutes. Number 19 tram goes to museum district (Rijks museum, Van Gogh museum, etc). Limited amenities in area which is primarily colleges and office buildings. There is a Spar convenience store located under the Holiday Inn Express next to train station, Starbucks and a few fast food cafes. Room was well sound proofed, couldn't hear trains which were less than 200 feet from my bedroom window. Area is very quiet at night and seemed quite safe. Hotel is air conditioned which is a major advantage if you choose to visit in the summer.

Great aparthotel option
Great location, right next to Sloterdijk train station (easy access to the airport & city centre). We rented bikes assuming that it would be cheaper than taking the train, but it ended up costing almost twice as much (plus I got a flat tire twice). There's a small grocery store on the same plaza as the train station, so you can cook your own meals at the hotel; bring your own reusable bags & salt/pepper/oil/etc as the bags cost 1 euro each & the hotel doesn't provide any ingredients. The hotel itself is beautiful. Very clean, rooms are stylish & bright with comfy beds. They advertise as providing toiletries, but beware because it's just one bottle of combo shampoo & body wash. The fitness centre is small, but it has a good selection of free weights and cardio machines. The rooftop terrace doesn't have the best view, but it's still nice to sit up there with a glass of wine and watch the sun set. In terms of staff, everyone was very friendly and helpful. When we returned our bike rentals and the woman at the counter heard about us getting 2 flat tires, she offered us complementary breakfast the next morning since we were leaving, and the portions kept us full through past lunch.

A great choice!
Though not in the downtown, the superb nearby station offers train, metro, tram and bus connections! You are never more than 20 / 30 minutes from where you need to be in Amsterdam (and frankly, commuting through some of the non-touristy areas resulted in our trying some great restaurants). Our spotlessly clean room was excellent, with one minor detraction: the distance of the toilet paper dispenser was too close to the toilet (fortunately, we are not so big, otherwise, physically sitting down would have been a problem). The efficiency kitchen was a great plus. The quality of the windows (as in most of Europe) made it possible to block outside noise. The curtains could block out most of the light if so desired. Our room was near the elevator/hallway entrance, but... sound proofing and quality of door hinges negated any chance of slammed doors. The bed was firm, but not too much so. WiFi was perfect. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Proximity to the airport is another plus. All in all, a truly excellent choice (the best of our five hotels on this trip). I would not hesitate to go back. Having seen terrible rooms in downtown Amsterdam for twice the price, this is a no-brainer.
