Good location, not luxury
Our family room was up three flights of winding stairs- no elevator. The view was great, and proximity to market and restaurants was great. When we arrived we had to ask the lady in the bakery next door if she could contact the owner. She took about 10 minutes to arrive. We had to discover the free parking down the street on our own. Wi-fi and tv reception were come and go.

Charming older place updated inside
Great old place to stay right downtown. We were cycling and we still got our two bikes up the circular stairs for the evening. Check in was a bit different with the owner off site so a call is required. Hot water is from an instant tank so keep the volume lower than usual and you will be ok.

Poor 2.0
Check in was from 3pm to 9pm. We arrived at 8.40pm no one there. Contacted the owner who said they'd been phoning me all day. NO missed calls on my mobile. She then said the room had been let to someone else. Appalling service. Don't book this accommodation

Original review:
"Quaint place, but immediate maintenance is needed"
Our stay was generally good, on the second floor of a well-photographed row of old houses. It was just a little odd that we were asked to pay in cash upon our arrival. Most importantly, there is one important maintenance issue that need to be addressed: * There's a water leak in the ceiling of the bathroom, at the top left of the big mirror. Water dripped down when we heard water running in the room above us. Water damage is already evident but will only get worse with time if the leak isn't found and fixed soon. * Several light bulbs are needing replacement, including two in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. As for comfort, there was barely enough toilet paper and the water temperature was dangerously hot. Also, some laundry detergent would be nice. We wanted to wash some clothes on a Sunday but couldn't since all the stores that sold laundry detergent were closed. :-(
