This is a newer hotel built behind an older facade. It was much like a holiday inn or other chain hotel. Everything was fine, nothing was exceptional, except the location. The rooms were loud from other guests but also mechanical noise. The "garden view" was actually an rather stark and tightly packed with rooms interior courtyard, with a few planters, but no view. It is not worth the additional cost.

This is a good hotel in a really great neighborhood near lots of restaurants and bars. Its safe, the bar staff were really helpful and friendly, the breakfast was good and the room and bathroom were large. However if you stay in Room 315 there will be a lot of outside noise especially at the weekends and the room is full of bright light as soon as the sun rises as there are no curtains. I had to use a travel eye mask and ear plugs to get any sleep. I would stay here again just not in room 315.

Had a awesome room overlooking the plaza and facing the old church. The hotel is elegant historic and modern all at the same time. We loved the pool as well.

This is a beautiful property and building, in the heart of Casco Viejo (location couldn’t be better if you want to be in the center of town). However, for the price, the food was awful, service (and quality) at the bar was terrible, and we were up ALL NIGHT because of noise (clock rang every half hour, along with other noises )
