Castilho Lisbon Suites, Lisbon

I did not feel secure and comfortable in this place. Front door is well secure but not our room which is one of the 12 rooms in the apartment. If I knew it is an apartment NOT a hotel during my reservation I will never book this. It is not a fault of the apartment owner but Hotels.com.

We had a really nice stay at the Castilho Lisbon suites. The room was nice and clean, and the receptionist and owner were really service minded. The lock to our room was broken, so we could only lock it from the outside, not the inside. The owner fixed this the next morning. You can hear all the sounds/noise from the hallway, luckily there wasn't not too much trafic in the hallway. Still it was a lovely place to stay and the price was nice! I will reccomend staying here.

The location is great - in a clean and safe area and near public transport. The room is very small and basic but clean and tidy. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Guests can use the kitchen and breakfast area is quite nice and spacious. One thing did bother me a little was the noise - the walls are wafer-thin and you can hear everything going on outside your room, especially at night and early morning when people come in and out of the hotel and talk in the kitchen and corridor.

It's very good located and the people are very friendly. The only trouble we find is that you listen every sound coming from the other room and from the open and close of the doors in every room and at the entrance door.

Convenient location, close to train station. Check in was quick and easy.

Good for people on a budget who have a student style attitude. The shared facilities are excellent and students travelling would find this an ideal option for the facilities and location. Easy transport links and the option to buy local food from local markets and cook up a storm for sharing.

The standard of the room was very good - the finish was very smart and modern and the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was also very good. Some toiletries were provided (handwash and showergel). Also, the hotel was very quiet - both inside and outside. This helped a good night sleep. There is a kitchen area to make your own food too which is a good option. The metro is around 5 minutes walk away then you have a 5 minute trip into the centre.

Nice new rooms and the common area is spacious and comfortable, with a great kitchen with everything you need (including a coffee machine and kettle and fridge). The only thing that needs fixing is curtains need to be installed in the glass walls of the bathroom - lack of privacy when going to the toilet! There is a metro station about 5 minutes walk from the accommodation but it s on a slope so careful when hauling luggage.
