Our stay in Bath
I was on a two week driving tour of England with my husband. Our stay in Bath was for two nights. We chose the Leighton Townhouse off of trip adviser and hotels.com recommendation pages. I was not disappointed! It was my favorite place to stay on my whole trip. Leighton Townhouse is not in town, you have to walk a bit of a way to get to anything. I am sure that there was a bus that you could take, or you could drive into the city center and park, but we were not interested in getting into a vehicle after arriving. The walk into the center is wonderful and downhill. The walk back is a bit of a hike. Knowing that, just be prepared. Its not horrible, I just wish I had know it when I set out our first morning. Catherine, who checked us in and was at breakfast each morning was helpful and charming. Our room was room 10 and it was on the top floor of the home. It had a wonderful air conditioner, which was very much needed, as England is having a heat wave and it was very warm in town. The room was quiet and had a terrific little sitting area that I used to have my tea in the mornings. Breakfast was in a charming room that opened to the gardens. It was made to order and the bread was incredible. My favorite part of the home were the sitting areas in the gardens. My one and only complaint is the parking, which is in front of the home and is very small and the "spaces" are tight. Very tight. All in all, great stay in a great town.

Relaxing stay in Bath
We had a three night stay at Leighton townhouse in Bath and it was wonderful. We arrived later than standard check in and were provided easy details for how to access our room. The B&B itself is very tastefully done and makes great use of relaxing tones. Breakfast was a treat! Choose from quite a few hot breakfast options as well as serve yourself cereals, yogurt, berries, etc. They even had Prosecco! Things to note - if you walk into town (Roman Baths, etc.) you need to head down a hill. This might be steep for some, just know the Leighton is near the top and about a 15 minute walk from the main part of town. We loved this aspect, but others may not want to walk 15 minutes or so for meals. Also, the hotel has stairs and if you are in room 10 or 9 you will have more to climb than others. Consider this when booking if stairs are an issue for you. Overall we loved this place and would definitely recommend staying here.
