Very Good 8.0
Nice, Small, Beautiful Hotel.
Hotel was comfy, courtyard was beautiful and chic. Centraly located to most important points in town, a five minute walk to main plaza and also 3 minute walk to ADO bus station in case you want to go visit some other sites near Merida, such Chichen Itza, Valladolid, etc. Hot water takes a while to start pouring in but once it does you can enjoy a good shower.

Lovely clean hotel with everything you need
Great hotel, lovely room. Advertises 24hr check in but it’s actually from 3pm, we were lucky they had our room available already. Breakfast was a bit disorganised, you actually only get credit to eat in their restaurant so you are very limited on the menu which they don’t explain. Otherwise the staff were nice (especially Denise) and the room was lovely and clean.

Poor 2.0
Not ready for guests and terrible service
This hotel isn't ready for guests. We arrived 9th November to find the hotel covered in Government signs and tape saying that the hotel hasn't complied with safety laws and is closed. The hotel Manager says it is only because they "haven't paid some taxes" which may be so but the place is still a building site and builders are still wandering around. As one of the other reviews mentioned, what is open (which is very limited) isn't finished well. There's no food/restaurant, bar, etc., the Wi-Fi only works in the lobby, and most of the furnishings are missing from the rooms (don't believe the hotel pictures). To make matters worse, the hotel told us we coulde only stay there for 1 nightonly(instead of 2) but we'd need to move to a different hotel the following night. In the morning, they told us we could do our tour and they'd move our bags to the new hotel and we could just head straight there in the afternoon. We did that only to find the Lavanda had changed their mind, cancelled our booking at the new hotel and not told us. When we finally got back to complain, they couldn't care less. Probably the worse hotel service I've ever had in travelling 54 countries. I imagine this might be a nice hotel one day but I would avoid it until they sort out their affairs, their staff and their building work.
