There is Something You Should Know
Let’s remind everyone that it is a very small hotel, actually a B&B would be more accurate description. So if you are flying from the US and getting to Amsterdam in the morning expect to wait at the tiny door for the staff (of one) to show up at 8:30 to open the door and the reception. The cleaning staff comes in much later and the check-in is after 3 pm . For a $179 a night it is the first time I had to wait for a hotel receptionist to show up. Anyway, having a 45 pound big piece of luggage and a not-so-great feeling about the hotel when I saw the whole package, I asked if they had an elevator, the lady answered yes indeed there is an elevator. However, when I checked in, sometime past 4 pm in the afternoon, she told me that "there is something you should know": that I got a room on the 5th floor and that the so called elevator stops at the 4th floor only. The lady apologized for not being able to help with the luggage since she was pregnant. Bottom-line, to get to my room I had to carry my 45-pound luggage through a narrow and dangerous staircase labyrinth, I almost fell down. When the next day I mentioned this to a different receptionist, this time a man , he went on the defensive . I’d say that the staff at this hotel have a long way to learn basic professionalism when dealing with customers

Location, Charm and Ameneties
I took a chance on a moderately priced hotel in an area where you can go very wrong with your choice. What I found was an incredibly modern and comfy hotel to match the perfect location. I was incredibly happy with the amount of perks and helpful ameneties in the room such as an electric “do not disturb” sign, bathroom floor warming and a charging cord matching 4 different plugs by the desk. You enter a small room next to a restaurant and are greeted 1:1 by the desk person. I arrived very late so the man escorted me up to the room to describe the ameneties and show me all the room had to offer. He was extremely helpful. Although the desk is not 24/7 your room card swipes you into the outside door for access. I’m sure to stay here again and again!

Beautiful Hotel
LOVE LOVE LOOOVVEEDD this hotel. Super friendly staff. The bed was super comfy and was close enough to the attractions with out being to close to the touristy spots. They stocked our fridge with soft drinks and water FREE OF CHARGE. I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent stay at Hotel Il Fiore
We really enjoyed our three nights in Il Fiore in mid-October. After a warm welcome by Rolf, we were shown via elevator to our modern and spacious room overlooking the pretty street below. The room was kept spotless throughout our stay, had a large shower/bathroom area and enough room for a chaise lounge in addition to our king bed. Additional plusses were the safe, good wi-fi, coffee and tea fixings in the room, and very good lighting, temperature controls and hookups for our electronic devices. Although our room was just one flight above the street, the double pane windows were very good at keeping out the noise from curbside drinkers below and the setting up of a large market on the Saturday morning of our stay. The hotel is well located within the Jordan area and an easy walk to a number of attractions or the excellent tram system within Amsterdam. Nearby restaurants were also convenient and of good quality, including one that Rolf recommended for breakfast. We would definitely stay at Il Fiore on our next trip to Amsterdam.
