Room stay at better than many 4 star hotels
Incredibly comfortable bed and room with perfect private bath. Hosts are wonderful— bend over backwards to endure a perfect stay.

Very Nice Place
The Inn was very nice. It was very clean and a home away from home feel. The owner lived nearby and was present when we arrived. They had a welcome name plate on the bed. It was all a nice stay. It was a 5 minute drive to restaurants. About 10 minutes to Yale track. Came for a track meet. I would definitely stay again. Owner had continental breakfast, coffee, juice, yogurts, croissants, jams, etc in the morning.

My Stay
I got into the B&B really late. They gave me a way to come in on my own. There was no check in. I was the only person. They left me water and chocolate. I contacted them about my needs as there was no place on's sight to put in special requests. They did a good job with what I needed. Only issues I had were that it was too warm. Even though it was a house the temp did not drop at night. The other is that it snowed, almost 2 inches. It was not cleared from the parking area or walkways either at night before I came in, or before I left. I was told the plow guy hadn't come (and that was an issue they would take up with him) but it would have been good to have walkways cleared.

The feel of home in New Haven
Recently I spent two comfortable nights at the Austin Street Inn, a thoroughly renovated historic house in New Haven. The property has the advantage of off-street parking. It is extraordinary to find such a wonderful alternative to standard hotels. Great visit.
