Muntri Grove, Penang

This was one of the most charming hotels I've stayed in, the area was convenient to all of the touristy area but had a local flair to it, the street was quiet but walking to the end of the block you had all the street food and vendors so close to the hotel. The room had enough space or a couple and a little lounge area to eat breakfast or watch television, even read a book. The pool was refreshing and clean. Overall I would definitely book this hotel again if I traveled to Penang.

My stay at Muntri Grove was excellent. The staff was courteous and efficient. Hotel itself is within a stone's throw to everything. I find the whole establishment full of colonial splendor. I can't imagine anyone rating it less than 5 stars.

Wonderful small hotel in great location for walking to restaurants, sightseeing and shopping. Hotel staff is outstanding and goes out of their way to help make your stay special. Room is comfortable, breakfast delicious and every member of the staff makes Muntri Grove feel like a true home away from home in Penang.

Nothing not to like here. We had a 3 night stay and it was all fine. Good enough location just off the core zone. Nice room, very spacious. Bed a little hard for me but ok. Staff good, brekky just right. Not palatial but comfortable. Only downside is that there is a school next door and it is very noisy early on school days. Nothing the hotel can do but needs to be mentioned

We had an enjoyable and comfortable four nights stay at this charming boutique hotel. Room was big, airy and nicely decorated and opened out to the lovely garden being on the ground floor. Breakfast was good. Pool was long and deep enough for a decent swim. Staff were friendly and helpful especially Esther. Some noise in the mornings from the adjacent school. Great location. Close to Love Lane, Lebuh Chulia and Red Garden Food Court.
