Well situated with access to Orchard Road shopping centres. The hotel provides a very convenient shuttle every half hour. Breakfast was tremendous.

    Good 6.0
Good checkin. Small rooms. Wifi was good. Lots of rooms per floor and mine was a bit of a walk from the elevator. I guess that was a good thing since we didn’t hear a lot of noise from the hall. There’s a luggage rack which is handy. Beds were comfortable. There was a lounge chair with a small table. No desk though. Coffee maker and kettle with coffee pods, tea and all were available. There was a safe which was handy. There was also an ironing board and iron. Tv selection was great with movie channels, CNN, BBC, etc. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes etc. Hot water was abundant. Good breakfast buffet. What I didn’t like: 1. i didn’t have room cleaned on the 2nd night. The 3rd night, I expected room to be cleaned and sheets changed. Sheets were not changed. I normally wouldn’t make a big deal about this but they sprayed the beds and pillows worth air freshener. Not a good thing for migraine sufferers. I called it in and asked the sheets be changed for the 4th night and no air freshener be used on the sheets and in the room. After a long day, I come back to a cleaned room with none of my requests followed. Housekeeping had to come up to change the sheets because I couldn’t breath. 2. hotel had a “end of season” pool party which was free for guests and paid for outside customers. Not only was it noisy, the hotel was overrun by 20-something half naked people walking around all parts of the lobby and elevators with alcohol.

    Amazing service; small rooms.
Service was amazing. The rooms were small. Overall I would give 4 out of 5 stars only because of the room size.

I liked the overall look and the professional but friendly staffs. I didn't like the Asian dinner buffet served at Food Exchange, in fact in most part the food offering was not edible. I also didn't like the sloppiness of the maintenance team for my room, to be specific the bathroom door had a screw holes that wasn't covered when maintenance realized it drilled the holes in the wrong spot. That might be a small thing but to me all team members must be committed in conveying to the guests that they care and take pride in their property.

Felt like we were on a cruise ship and were sleeping in cabins. No storage or sink space. Not very close to anything and had to take taxi everywhere.

    Great hotel experience on Stevens
This is our first time in Singapore. I am glad that we stayed at Mercure at Stevens. The room size is good for two people. It is clean. The bed is comfy especially we needed a good night of sleep after walking under the blazing heat. The infinity pool is beautiful and we enjoyed it a lot. The breakfast buffet is awesome! The price is reasonable. The front desk staffs are helpful too when you ask them a question. I suggest the hotel to include an information booklet in the room such as the time of the shuttle operation hours, the pick up and drop off point and the pool hours etc. so the travelers do not need to find those basic information by ourselves. The location of the hotel is a bit inconvenient however the complimentary shuttle to Orchard road compensate for that. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area. If you like to stay at a quiet hotel. This is it! I will choose to stay at Mercure or Novotel again for our next stay in Singapore.

This was our second stay at the Mercure on Stevens. Overall, we really like the hotel. The staff is very pleasant and professional, the lobby is nice and welcoming, and the rooms are small but nice and sufficient for what we need. The hotel was very accommodating when we requested a late check out due to our very late night flight. They also allowed us to use the gym facilities to shower before our departure. The downside of this hotel was the breakfast. Breakfast was extremely over crowded and it just felt like absolute chaos. It was hard to get to food, or to even know what was available. It also seemed that some stuff had finished and wasn’t restocked. The food quality was passable at best. After the first day at breakfast we said we would never do that again, although I did go quickly on day two to grab a coffee. Another issue was with the noise in the hallway. You can hear everything that goes on in the hallway from inside your room which at times disrupted our sleep. Also, the bathroom is quite tiny and difficult to get ready in. As I stated, overall we do like the hotel but these were just some observations we made during our stay.
