Would definitely come back & recommend to friend
Great quality breakfast and interesting well maintained property with Tiffany glass in central ceiling. Staff most accommodating. Only 1 question: where are the bath matts? A towel does the job of course.

Beautiful building & grounds. Comfortable room & bed. Clean. Nice towels and robes. Nice staff. Great location. Wi-Fi didn’t work well, however.

This is a unique property, and in many ways I am glad we stayed there. It was a trip back in time, a time of public elegance. Unfortunately that also means a long elegant wood staircase for heavy bags to be negotiated. It means the steam radiator in the bathroom is no longer in use and on cold days the bathroom is less than comfortable as it is completely without a soutce of heat. The breakfast service is fine if you want gluten free bread as your only starch. There will not be potatoes, or pancakes, or waffles, nor was there a choice of juices. It was only Orange when we stayed. The artisan yogart, granola, cheeses and jams were interesting, but this will clearly not work for everyone. There was no staff present on the property in the evening, and so if you have a problem you have to make a phone call to the night manager. Two parties had a problem during our stay. I gather no fixes came until the morning and one party may have simply left later that evening as I saw keys to a room laying on the sign-in table at 10pm that night. Morning Staff told me the saw the keys when they came in.

Beautiful but Meh...needs attention
Beautiful building from the outside. Amazing entry foyer & common spaces. Our room #8 was sparsely furnished (bed, 2 mini bedside tables, lounge chair, bookshelf & two suitcase stands in bedroom, futon-ish sofa bed, two ottomans & small table in living area. Other chairs? Dresser? Desk? Not enough places to rest your things, bottom) - I expected a little more decor though it was nice & large. Though they knew I booked for 3 people the futon had not been made up by our 7:00 arrival, there were only two drinking glasses & two sets of towels. Big problem with scalding hot water in the shower - with dial set to cold you could not stand under it without burning yourself. I mentioned this to the breakfast staff the next morning rather than the night before when we tried to take a shower because I didn’t think any staff person was in the house still. If they were I didn’t know where. Breakfast was ok. I was disappointed when they would not put the breakfast out earlier for us at 8:00 on a weekday as we had to leave at 9:00 to get to a meeting. At 8:30 when we were told it would be ready the staff person was still setting things out. Only a continental style breakfast with eggs was offered - this was the first time staying in a B & B that I wasn’t offered a special meal like gourmet pancakes, waffles, housemade bread, muffins, a meat protein or omelette/quiche. But the stained-glass windows were beautiful, it was within walking distance to a cute street with shops & restaurants.

Excellent service in a beautiful victorian home! Breakfast was AMAZING. A firmer mattress would have made our stay perfect!
