I don't recommend this place
Service was excellent, location is good since it's a really small town everything is close to either the bus, train or restaurants. Now! Hostel is in really bad condition I don't understand how people can give this place 4/5. Wifi is bad, room was smelly, toilet didn't work properly water was running the whole night, I'm the kinda person who doesn't bother for loud music, but this place was extremely loud and people yelling around the hallway, after a long day hiking this is the last that I would hope for. No, I won't recomend this place! I'm never ever believing in this reviews. Also, breakfast was cold. I

Good budget option and comfortable.
We stayed at Ecopackers the night before we went to Machu Picchu. Overall a very positive experience. Very affordable. We stayed in a four bed dorm, which had nice bunk beds, big lockers, and a very nice hot shower. Breakfast included, starts at 4am for those going up early. We stored our bags all day. Very friendly staff.

Great value for price
My stay here was pretty good. The rooms and beds were devent. Breakfast was great. I enjoyed the view of the mountains from the restaurant/lounge terrace every morning. It's close to the bus stop to machu picchu. My only complaint is that Inca Rail changes its train cars right in front of the hostel sonic gets loud at night but that's out of the hostel''s control.
