Bad first impression, but recovered!
Check in was ok, front desk clerk told us what we could not have, i.e. breakfast and other perks but once she discovered room assignment she retracted all that she had previously told us. Next she asked us what drinks we would like delivered within 30 minutes. We requested tea, soda and juice. After 30 minutes had past, a hour and a half later had to call front desk about their offer, club floor delivered but was told once we called front desk; not a good first impression. However, service improved drastically when we spoke and interacted with club floor employees who provided superb service throughout our stay. We know it is a new hotel and hope they work out the kinks at the front desk. Club level did ensure that they packed us a breakfast to go because we left at 0300 although front desk stated not possible, breakfast starts at around 0600; again not good. Club floor they were fantastic so we would book there again.

Exceptional 10.0
Very comfortable room and excellent staff
Very nice hotel, went out of their way to find a room that suited us. While not a large room, beds were comfortable and larger than twin. Bathroom was well appointed. Auto shade was helpful and there were many USB ports throughout the room. Unfortunately we were there through a holiday weekend so food options in CBD were limited. Tapas restaurant at hotel was good. Buffet breakfast included with room was excellent.

Exceptional 10.0
Great breakfast. Water pressure good.
Breakfast is a highlight. Probably the best I've had. Don't forget to get the salad bar at the back. The staff should really inform customers that there is a separate salad section. The variety offered is excellent. 24 hour gym is handy. Can get bottled water if you don't like tap water. Shower water pressure is excellent. I've been to other 5 star hotels where the water pressure is rather weak. This really is so important on a trip. Nothing really to complain but if I have to make one little pedantic criticism is that the hairdryer power cord is not long enough for the power point to stand at the bathroom mirror properly. I ended up using the power point next to the big mirror in the corridor. (perhaps this is the idea?) anyway I hav eto say the hotel gave me everything that I expect a 5 star hotel should give me. Well done!

Good 6.0
Outstanding hotel, but room temperature no good
The hotel is newly renovated, so rooms are nice with plenty of powerpoints and USB ports to charge your devices, great room service and in a really great central location. Parking is close by and in hotel restaurants are amazing if you like Spanish food and meat, which we do. Only problem was the AC, no matter how many times we adjusted it, the room was always really hot. Apparently this is normal as they run an eco friendly system, but with no way to get fresh air into the room, I’d not want to stay in Summer as it would be an oven. I really hope they find a way to cool the rooms ASAP, but still remain eco friendly. Lasting thought, other than the room temperature which did impact sleeping and sinuses and they need to remedy, there was nothing else to fault with service, friendliness and the quality of the hotel really outstanding.
