Rum Doodle B&B, Windermere

Lovely room (stayed in room 9) pictures make it look much smaller than it actually is which was a nice surprise! Breakfast is lovely and eaten downstairs in the dining room between 8:30am and 9:30am. Plenty of parking and an easy walk into both Bowness and Windermere.

This was our first time at Rum Doodle, & what an amazing place it is. The room was amazing, especially with the roll top bath, and the food and service was spot on, nothing was too much trouble. On arriving we were greeted by our host and was offered tea/coffee and cake within minutes. The B&B is quite central, so walking distance to lots of places. We really enjoyed our stay, and will most definitely be back. Thank you for making us feel so welcome, Rum Doodle truly is a hidden gem. 😊

We arrived early evening to Rum Doodle. Greeted at the door, shown to our room, room 6. All very lovely and clean. Brill welcome package with plenty of info on where to eat, visit etc. The only thing I would say is the bathroom could maybe do with a little update to match the rooms theme and decor but was still everything you needed and again very clean and tidy. We had breakfast served in our room the next day which was amazing! I'd recommend the homemade pancakes! Bed was comfy, quiet nights sleep. Easy, pleasant check out. Would definitely stay again. Lovely friendly hotel with a breakfast to die for

We arrived a little early for our check in which was no problem to Tina, our lovely host. She showed us to our room which was lovely and invited us to come down for tea and cake which was a nice extra touch. Location is great for walking to both Bowness and Windermere. Tina helped out with restaurant recommendations and as we were in the area looking at venues for our wedding, she helped out with some very helpful thoughts there too! Breakfast was amazing and we felt really spoiled by the whole experience- can’t recommend this place enough, we will certainly return!
