The Bryson Hotel, London
Fine for a short stay, but not a 4-star hotel
The front desk staff was lovely. Very friendly and helpful. However, we did not think this hotel qualified as a 4-star hotel. 3-star at best. There were some strange design choices in this hotel that made it seem cheap, dark and dirtier than it probable was. The hallways were cave-like and the bottom 3 feet of the walls were carpeted. I assume it was to protect the walls from suitcases, but it was odd and unattractive. The baseboards were carpeted in our room, and several feet of it was peeling off from one corner. There walls were covered in fabric, which was stained in some spots. Despite all of that, the carpet, bed and bathroom in our room seemed clean and that the most important part. The continental breakfast and 'restaurant' area left something to be desired, but were fine overall. Not fancy, but we got enough food. I recommend, however, that they iron their wrinkled tablecloths once in a while if they want to pass for a 4-star hotel. Also they offer free wifi, but you have to sign in to it every time you wake your phone up. If you set it down and pick it back up again, you have to log back in. Not the end of the world, but very annoying after a while. I haven't experience wifi like that anywhere else. The location was ok. Not great, but within walking distance to several some attractions and close to numerous bus stops. The hotel was fine for our short stay, but I don't think we will be staying here again of we visit London in the future.

Suitable Hotel for Business Travel
I recently stayed here a total of eight nights during two stays. I was upgraded to a premium room during the first stay. The room was spacious, a little dark and faced the interior (no view). It was quiet. The bathroom had a jetted tub/shower combo. During my second stay, I was in a standard street-facing room. It was much smaller with more natural light and only slightly noisier. The bathroom was small with a shower. The AC units in both rooms worked well. During my stay, I literally only saw another guest once! The staff was always friendly and helpful.

Average - needs improvement.
Room was nicely appointed, and staff was nice, but had terrible air flow (and AC didn’t work). Also, only provided water the first night - I was there for 5.

Worst hotel in London!
The supervisor and I didn't get along and I checked out the next day, but my money wasn't refunded and I am extremely frustrated that they stole my money like that. The service was rubbish and the staff was the same and lame. I really wouldn't reccommend anyone to stay there at all!
