Perfect Split stay including parking
We booked Azur because of its central location in Split, 5-10 min walk to any restaurant etc in the old town. And also we had a rental car, and the fact that Azur had secure parking in such a location was perfect (do email Azur ahead of time to book parking). We were able to do 3 separate day trips along the Adriatic coast and to Krka Falls at our own pace, and come back to Split's great selection of restaurants for dinner every night. Our hosts (Ivan and his team) were very friendly, had a great sense of humour and made great breakfasts which we enjoyed in their sunny courtyard. The rooms were modern, spacious and clean. There is even an automatic coffee machine for use throughout the day as a bonus. A hint for those driving to Azur: Email them for directions in advance. The navigation system in our rental vehicle took us the wrong way through Split. To approach Azur by car, we found it easiest to go down Livanjska Ulica which continues as Sinjska Ulica, turn right into a very small lane (which looks like a one-way laneway, but it is two-way) with cars parked along it. This laneway is also called Sinjska Ulica on Google Maps. Finally turn left onto a tiny laneway called Ulica Andrije Kacica Miosica and Azur's private parking is hidden away there. Just ask Ivan for details. Hopefully that saves you any confusion on your first drive there.

Very highly recommend
We were greeted by lovely friendly staff who were very helpful with excellent advice. Well worth telling them what you are looking for from your holiday so they can share their local knowledge. The room was very comfortable, excellent quiet air com, extremely comfy bed, large quality shower etc. This is not a traditional hotel but high quality rooms with some hotel services. There is no bar or 24 hour reception but the breakfast is very good and there's the best coffee I've tasted, on tap up to about 8pm. There's a calm and relaxing seated area inside and out where you can have your breakfast too. it's a quiet relaxing place to stay just on the edge of the old town, out of the way of any noisy bars. I would definitely stay there again if I return to Split.

This is a clean, modern hotel tucked inside an old building. After locating and passing through the entrance, I found the interior to be very nicely remodeled. Everything worked including the A/C. My room was spacious and comfortable with sharp, stylish finishes and a big balcony. This hotel is very close to the old historic district and 5 minute walk from the waterfront (Riva). The helpful and friendly staff produced a nice breakfast in the morning, suggested locations to eat and where to go to the beach. The entrance is somewhat inconspicuous and located on a narrow street. Once you find it you are good to go but there is only a small sign. Also, one has to be careful when stepping out the front door because you are stepping right into vehicle traffic. There isn't much traffic because the street does not go through but I had a close call so I am just mentioning it. I would definitely recommend this place.

First time stay in Split and we were very happy to have found this gem of a hotel. Seems to have been recently converted, the interior of the hotel is all new and very up to date in decor. Best mini fridge we have found in our travels, that can hold at least two bottles upright along with other snacks. Our room had a balcony, which was a nice touch for afternoon wine. Breakfast was included and was quite extensive - something for everyone. They also made eggs personally for you, any way desired. The hotel is close to Diocletian's palace and walking distance to most places in Split. When we return, it will be here and I would recommend it to anyone. A well-kept secret!

Very nice, would recommend if you stay in split
Beautiful room. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Excellent breakfast. Location was close to downtown, about 2 minute walk, so was far enough away to not hear that noise; however on our second night (Monday), we discovered that there must be a bar or club near by, because there were about 40 very drunk guys singing loudly until about 4am, needless to say, not a lot of sleep that night. Otherwise great hotel, but may have considered staying a night on one of the islands to get away from the city and enjoy the beaches longer; we went to bol which was excellent (pay extra for the direct ferry to that side of the island, it's only about 50 kune more, but will save you an hour and a 500 kune cab ride).
