Boutique Suite!
The room was amazing and comfortable! Better than being at home. I loved the music that was on upon checking into the room. The restaurant, Josephine Estelle, was wonderful. I had dinner and then breakfast there. All staff was wonderfully welcoming.

Perfect Weekend Getaway
From arrival to departure, the Ace was a wonderful property with spacious rooms and excellent food and bar offerings. My only minor issue was the time it took for the shower to heat up, but a hot bath cured that hiccup in no time! I can't wait to stay here again on my next trip to NOLA!

Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows felt old and worn and rough sheets/cases.

January in New Orleans
We lucked out with beautiful weather Our corner room had sweeping city views, huge bathroom with walk-in shower and soaking tub. We enjoyed the roof top pool area bar and sat by one of the multiple fire pits one evening before heading out to dinner. Our third stay at this Ace - we will definitely be back

Should worry about being clean rather than “Hip”
If they worried about cleaning as much as they worry about being “hip” they would be a great hotel. The location is excellent, people at the front desk nice, rooms rather large. Disclaimer - I did not go in expecting the Mandarin Orienta but we expected better than what was provided. I travel for work or pleasure over 100 days a year - I do have some sense on what to expect. Bathrooms - Bathrooms are black - so you have no idea if it’s clean or not. I removed hair from the drain before showering. Bed - super hard, the pillowcases and coverlet are brown. Floors - cork flooring - walk barefoot and your feet will be black. It is noisy- there were events in a public space near the hotel and you can hear - not the hotel’s fault but be aware. Our main issues were cleanliness - basic stuff like having someone make the beds. Photos below are from our bedroom after it had been “cleaned” We addressed a couple of times with the front desk and it took 24h to hear back. The head of housekeeping was quite nice & very apologetic, offered us drinks & oversaw the next cleaning herself, the response was only accomplished after sending an email to the hotel chain, not by going to the front desk. A 4 star hotel should be able get their act together enough to do basic hotel housekeeping. Hotel GM should have reached out after the first front desk complaint. Lesson learned - don’t stay in hotels w/ brown pillowcases or black bathrooms it’s done to cut corners as far as cleaning.
