Great NOLA Hotel in CBD
Stayed at the Ace for a few nights spanning a weekend and weekdays. While much livelier on the weekend, the hotel overall was perfect from the location just far enough from Bourbon St. to be fairly quiet, to easy access to streetcars and taxis. Great restaurants within a block of the hotel, too. Very helpful staff, really cool throwback decorum in the room which was quite comfortable with a king bed.

Coolest Hotel in New Orleans. Walking Distance
By far the best Ace Hotel in the group. I have stayed at several of the Ace Hotels, and this one is the most luxurious, and full service of all. I was impressed with the design, the space in the room, the comfort of the bed, and a full sized refrigerator (full of everything you could want). We ate at Josephine and Seaworthy, shopped at the stores, drank at the bar, and attended an amazing party in the hotel's event space. We used the gym, and visited the pool (it was raining). I will be staying here again. The staff was extremely accommodating, and very sweet and professional.

Great Hotel
I enjoyed my stay. At first the room seemed a bit unconventional, sort of shabby chic Bukowski flophouse. And a hotel staffer entered my room after quickly knocking to give me some soap and a pencil (neither of which I needed and accepted awkwardly in my underwear.) However, the room was soundproof amd roomy, the bed very comfortable, the aircon was good, the shower was great, and I slept like a corpse. The expansive not so mini bar could kill an Irish playwright. The amenities are nice (bars, restaurant, rooftop, coffee shop, lobby scene) but what really makes this place is the staff. Everyone is eager to improve your stay and help you out, whether its checking you in and out or making you a sazerac or holding your luggage. Some of the most helpful hotel staff I have met, and I travel for a living. Highly recommended. Also, try Seaworthy a few doors down for dinner. Outstanding.
