This is a very small hotel, just 13 rooms, so minimal facilities. It's a quaint building, but I had a few complaints: (i) The card key worked fine on the room door, but I had a hard time getting it to open the outside door - need 4 or 5 tries; (ii) No soap or shampoo for the shower - just body gel; (iii) Very small TV; (iv) No comfortable chair - you had to sit on the bed.

Helpful staff. Made us feel welcome and at home. Comfortable and clean. First class breakfast. Will be staying here again.

A very adequate, clean room. If you are staying, the hotel has a few cute gardens and rooms to explore. Unfortunately, we were just stopping on our way through.

Such a charming place!
The hotel was so charming. Our room was a little small for our needs (we had a few suitcases - too many, if you ask my husband!) but it was fine and we had a lovely view of the garden from our window. A couple of "negative" things: our room was on the first floor, right across from "reception," and we could hear the comings and goings of most everybody, but guests who stayed there were rather conscious of the "tone" of the place, because nobody was super-loud or obnoxious. Another thing, there wasn't a reception, per se, just a side board in the main hall with a phone that allowed you to intercom somebody, if you needed reception, so that was something different. Also, the shower in our room was rather small in size; not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of if you are on the plump side. And the entrance into the car park was very narrow and it was off of a narrow street; I'm glad my husband (who is a native of Wolverhampton, and is used to the narrows, but still had a little bit of trouble with it) was the driver, because I would not have wanted to attempt it! I'm not sure how breakfast was, because we never had the time or opportunity to enjoy it, but it always smelled and sounded (another thing we could hear from our room) good! Overall, I felt the hotel was charming, the gardens were lovely (to look at, we never actually enjoyed them by sitting in them) and the staff was very friendly and attentive; we would stay here again.
