Each service person was super friendly and helpful. We had never stayed in this arrondisement but it was surprisingly visitor-friendly. Some great restaurants nearby (10-15 minute walk from the hotel).

Active neighborhood
Great area for immediate shopping and dining. Best currency exchange offices near bourse station. Get a room on 2 nd floor and ceilings are way higher , makes rooms brighter due to taller Windows’s well. Beware, major construction noise on opposite streets for the next couple of years, hotel should allow lower rates and advise clients before booking!

Beautiful Hotel + Great Location
Beautiful hotel with mid century modern decor and design! Very comfortable bed and the A/C was nice and cool (rare in Europe). Loved being able to use the private pool/ steam room at night, which is available upon request! Great location and was able to walk almost anywhere. Lots of food options and metro nearby! We had a lovely stay overall, but I was rather disappointed with the lack of attention to detail by the staff. When we checked in I asked if breakfast was included and she said it was not, and that we would have to pay 19 Euros each day if we chose. We thought that was overpriced (with many other options nearby) so we didn't eat breakfast there at all. Then, upon checkout, the desk person asked if we enjoyed our free breakfast (as Expedia VIP members) and that is when we learned we were entitled free breakfast everyday. So was definitely bummed we didn't get to take advantage of that - and spent extra money going elsewhere every day. I also emailed the staff for recommendations for a good Steak Frites nearby and rather than sending recommendations for Steak Frites specifically they sent their generic list of best restaurants nearby (which none of them had the traditional dish). Just thought it could have been more tailored to our question. Another con was the noise - on weekdays it was very noisy (due to construction starting at 8am) so hard to sleep in. Also pretty noisy in the hallways with other guests coming in late.

Lovely boutique hotel in convenient location
I spent 6 nights at Hotel Saint-Marc and had a wonderful stay. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful with any question or need we had, including helping to arrange a taxi for transport from and to the airport. They also had wonderful recommendations for restaurants. The rooms are spacious with a modern decor, and the bathroom was incredibly large and accommodating, especially for European standards. The location is within walking distance of many attractions, and the metro station is about a 5 minute walk...easy to use and quite convenient. Buy the 10 or 20 pack discount if you think you will be using it often. My one complaint, however, is the amount of noise. We were there from April 11-17, 2018. There is major construction going on across the street, starting as early as 6:30am. I am an early riser, but this was a bit early even for me. Also, the AC had been turned off at night. I was told it was cool outside and the AC is turned down to accommodate the majority of patrons because it is all on one system., so we opened our balcony door. This would have been fine except the patrons at the bar/restaurant just a few doors down on the adjacent street were VERY loud and rowdy until 3:00-4:00am every night except Sunday and Monday. It was very difficult to sleep. And I found the duvet to be too heavy. There were no blankets available so I asked for an extra top sheet and a towel to use as a blanket instead. The blanket situation was minor to me compared to the very lo
