    Good environment but overchaged meal
It is a beautiful accommodation, renovated from a palace. The room is very well designed. Inside the hotel area it was very peaceful, with a good rooftop where you can have a mountain view. The working staff there was also nice. However, the wifi had been out of order for two days during out two-day stay. Furthermore, the owner gave us an dinner offer which charged 15 euro per head and the meal was claimed as a "big meal". The meal came out with a very normal meal, even without soup and drink. It is therefore the "big meal" was severely overcharged.

    Classic Moroccan hotel
This hotel was a beautiful example of Moroccan style and Moroccan hospitality. Our host went out of his way to provide us with a comfortable visit. We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was a huge European style meal. The bed was very comfortable. There was adequate heating, although we did not need it as the bedding was very cozy. When finding this hotel for the first time, look for a small sign on a plain wall. We walked right past it the first time! Once you have found it one time you will not miss it again. The front door is always locked and as two single women travelling alone we appreciated the security. We would highly recommend this hotel.

    Riad experience
As it was my 1st experience in a riad, it was a very very beautiful one. The staffs were great n very helpful. Only things was the WiFi connection wasn't good, and can get loss easily. It's was a unique experience as guests speak to each other and every one tries to help you out. Download a Google map and Marrakech one then it's easier. Thks to everyone specially to the London guest who suggested the map. I will surely go back again

    A pleasant surprise
Being in Marrakech, this Riad could have been hit or miss. But we were pleasantly surprised by its charm and style, a perfect example of a typical riad - a sanctuary of calm away from the chaos. There were a few downsides however such as being put in a twin room for the first night due to a guest having to stay on in the room we were booked into, and then not realising we had booked 5 nights not 4 (I'd amended the reservation shortly after booking). Also some of the advertised features didn't exist eg no TV or safe in rooms. While still in the Medina, this Riad is a good 20-25min walk to the main square, through some of the more suspect areas. Overall though, a great value for money stay.

Clean Riad in a non-touristy area.
The riad is newly renovated, so it's comfortable for a weekend getaway. The beds were comfortable and the AC was adequate. If you are traveling with family or female companions, it's advisable to use a taxi to get to the main jemaa el fna square. The taxi should not cost more than 10-20dirhams, although taxi drivers might ask for 30-60. If you try to walk to the square, it is possible, but you could get lost, which we did the first evening. It's in a non-touristy area. It takes about 25 minutes to walk there, or 5 minutes by taxi. If you are arriving at night, and especially if it's your first Moroccan stop, make sure that you get hotel staff to welcome you at the airport, or in front of the north el bayadi gate, which is about 100m from the riad. The hotel staff is very accommodating. If you insist on looking for it yourself, just make sure that you turn right at derb seraghna street, walk a couple of short blocks until you see a painting of a tree, then turn left. After that, walk 50 metres and you will see it on your left. It's advisable to walk there during day time. Do not listen to any child or teenager because they will very likely point you the wrong way and ask for money. If you need to ask for directions, ask staff that work in stores. A 1-2 dirham tip is expected in this country.
