Excited, but ultimately a disappointment
I had high hopes for this hotel, as I had previously visited their bar area on the first floor and the rooftop bar. Between the A/C not working in the room, as well as no closet space, a bizarre/unsanitary shower set up, and all bath supplies in the room being depleted and not refilled. I'll just say, it's a nice place to visit for a drink.

Excellent choice for our spring break getaway
The Catahoula was the perfect choice for us. We were there for 4 nights for a spring holiday. The hotel is comfortable, chic and affordable, with nice amenities. There is a fun, roof top bar area to have gratis coffee (best coffee we had in the city) in the morning or happy hour drinks in the evening. Sean, the bartender, was friendly and made delicious drinks. There's also a downstairs bar area if the weather isn't cooperating. There are vegan and vegetarian only food options too that sounded yummy. The location in the CBD is walkable to everywhere: the French Quarter, Magazine district, etc. The room was simple with a rainfall shower and very very comfortable king size bed. It was quiet, there are dark screens to block out morning sun. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and approachable.

So In Love!!!!
This is going to sound lame, but something about the Catahoula Hotel just filled me with joy. It reminded me of my family's island in Greece. The outdoor courtyards, the rooftop bar, the fact that if you weren't in a room, you were outside... It was just delightful. The room was small but very nicely decorated/designed and perfect for what we needed. The bars served yummy beverages and the small vegan menu was delicious! We were less than a half-mile walk from the French quarter, so we never needed to call a car, but we were far enough of away that we avoided the noise and atmosphere while we slept. The staff was helpful but not pushy, and were always around when we needed them. There was even a cute, friendly house cat! I wish my pictures did it justice, but I was too busy being happy to make sure I got accurate pictures. I would absolutely stay here again, and I will definitely recommend it to all my friends!

New favorite place to stay in Nola
So clean and comfy. Our room was huge and had its own balcony. Super funky place that is close to everything. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I loved it.

Not worth the money
The hotel room was extremely small - absurdly small for the price. It also had quite a damp feel to it when we walked in though the AC helped to lessen that. There was also no door between the shower and the bed which was ok for us but is good to note - particularly if one of you is a light sleeper.
