Beautiful Ocean
I would likely recommend Marley's to others, but with a few cautions before you go so your expectations are correctly in place. It is right on the ocean and the pool overlooks a beautiful water scene. The rooms are comfortable enough. The place is really quiet. The service can be pretty slow or distracted so if you're used to staying at the 4 seasons then this will be a pretty big shock. The dinners and food is generally really tasty. Our dinner took a while one night but the owner reduced the price and got us free drinks the bar. Also, the beach in front of the pool is not very usable. The tide comes right up to the edge during high tide so the sand at low tide is fairly hard packed. We were staying on a kid free weekend and likely would have enjoyed a bit more beach time, but we were just fine relaxing at the pool. We enjoyed our time but just don't expect more than reality going in and you likely will too.

entire island of Nassau stinks and is gross
This is NOT a resort, no hot water, smells like sewer, someone's pubes in our shower, never cleaned, not even a phone in room, no room service, no spa, employees are worthless, lazy, and downright rude, overpriced, and there is no restaurant, only an outside patio; someone needs to shut it down.

Water smells awful, very disgusting
Old rooms, old and bad maintained bathrooms. The smell of the water was disgusting. Not recomended for anyone. A very expensive and bad experience.

Nice small and private resort on Cable Beach
Friendly and forthcoming staff, small and silent resort. We had an ocean view suite. Restaurants, shopping center, gas station and banks are all reachable in short distance. The resort is close the airport. The resort has access to the beach and has two outdoor pools and a nice patio with view over the ocean. The bar was open until approx. 10.30pm every day and they also served food (delivered and charged to the room). The Spa was closed down for good and the tab water is a bit smelly. A rental car is recommended but a cab including tip is only approx. USD 30 to paradise island.
