Cheap hotel-poor service
This hotel is exactly what it is-a economical hotel with ok rooms. Customers service on the other hand, was definitely lacking. Check in consisted of me waiting for 10 minutes while one employee checked in another customer and the other 2 employees stood there and 1) did something on her phone and 2) walked past me to the dining area 3 times during the 10 minutes. No one even acknowledged my presence until the other customer was checked in. At that point, the “on the telephone” employee called me up on a different computer. SMH

We chose a motel on a whim looking for an adventure beyond a huge hotel downtown. Turned out to be not much of an adventure at all, it was a great room, very clean, private, and quiet. Definitely will go back for a nice relaxing overnight.

Mouse in the room - waiting for refund
Bathroom was too small. Had to turn sideways to use the toilet or my knees would jam into the sink. Original room wasn't ready when we arrived, so we had to use this one. Came back from hiking second night to see a mouse running around the room. Alerted front desk and requested a refund. Receptionist couldn't give refund directly to me because of hotels.com. Had to wait on the phone for an hour with hotels.com to finally get the refund. It was midnight by the time I was over with the call. Had to be up early the next day and still had to find a new hotel. Who knows how long mice had been in the room. The next day the general manager, Alex, left a voicemail saying that he was going to bill me for the nights I already stayed. This is illegal; I booked the rooms through hotels.com not the motel directly. He is only allowed to bill me for incidentals. $192.40 in incidentals? Good luck explaining that. I called him later that day to tell him I would dispute the charges. He finally agreed after some arguing. I'm still waiting for the refund. I wouldn't have posted this if he hadn't been cheap and just let it go.
