Avoid

Hotel is nothing like in the pictures. It's immediately along the road with a lot of road noise. The bathroom was all in one so no separate bathtub and everything is soaked after a shower. Quite small and desperately needs renovating. Breakfast was barely a breakfast. Very disappointed. Glad only spent one night and a short night at that. Context: American, stayed with my wife on our way to an elephant sanctuary

Convenient and Quaint Boutique hotel

Wua Lai Boutique hotel is very quaint and cute. We chose to stay here because we were able to either bike ride (borrowed hotel bikes for free) or walk to the nearby temples. We also stayed here because both of our excursions (1- "Asia Scenic Thai cooking school 2) Patara elephant farm") were able to pick us up and drop us off free of charge. Wual Lai, has clean rooms, beds are somewhat on the hard side. They serve a ver small continental breakfast in the morning, which is a good start to the day. The front desk clerk is helpful in area enquieries and provides you with a map. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay and reccommend it to others. Note, there is no elevator here so, I recommend asking for a room on floor 2; otherwise pack light. We stayed here for 3 nights in a Superior room with Queen bed.
