Very nice!
Everything was great except ability to control air conditioner in room. It seemed to have a mind of its own and room was sometimes too cold.

Spacious modern room with a view
Loved the en suite bathroom in my spacious room. Enjoyed the partial view of half the Petronas Towers, especially at night. Well located to public transportation & to food, especially Jalan Alor. Half the staff service was friendly & the rest was perfunctory.

On the outside,KL Journal looks like a great interesting hotel with a great price for a 3 year old hotel in a very expensive area. But you know,if you look hard enough, there are always things you can nitpick on if you want to,but that will not be fair.I just want to highlight a few points that cumulate into why I wrote this review. But the straw that broke the camel's back was the appearance of cockroaches.I first saw a dead big cockroach outside the room infront of the room opposite.i was telling myself, this better not appear in my room.Alas, that very same night, around 2am while going to the toilet,a big cockroach came crawling out of the toilet. I had to kill it and call the reception,an apologetic housekeeping staff came and clear up.I went down to the reception and again this is where it went wrong.I cannot even bother what he said cause he was only interested to tell me he has been working here since it opened and this is the first time this has happened.Kept asking so what I want, want to change room? I gave up talking to such people.Next morning I asked to speak to someone about this and an Indian lady supposedly the manager spoke to me.she acknowledged my complaint that in a hotel this new and of this standard cannot have a cockroach problem.and cockroaches come in colonies and to see two these big, shows there are more hiding somewhere and a non existent pest control.Unfortunately I made another non refundable booking in December and trying to see how I can cancel.
