This is a nice modern hotel with American comforts. I stayed in two hotels in Cusco on my trip and this one was far, far better than the pricier one. The only minus is location which is a bit far from town and up a steep hill. However, it was only 10 soles (and we didn't even negotiate) to catch a cab up the hill from the Plaza, so not a big deal when we were tired.

Decent stay but could be better
A little too high tech and modern for its own good. The Air conditioner has a motion sensor so that if nobody moves then it stops working after 2 hours. This was a problem for me as I like it very cold to sleep and the room gets warm unless you leave the window open (you can’t do this because of traffic noise at all hours and the windows only open a few inches for “security reasons” anyway). The breakfast buffet was ok but I lost my appetite after seeing a kid sneeze all over the bread and pastry section. The hotel is high above the town with good views if you’re facing the right way but it also entails a long 5-10min walk up stairs and this can be quite uncomfortable with the thin high altitude air and freezing cold nights.
