    Fun hostel
Good stay, good room, fun hostel. Only downfall was room 210 which I was placed in, was in the direction of sunrise with no sunblocking blinds which heated and light up the room from 7am.

Very disappointing - go to Wild Rover instead :)
I stayed 3 nights for Christmas and was expecting a great festive atmosphere but it was rather a cold and boring place so I ended up spending my evening at Wild Rover where there was a proper party and some cool people. There is a pool table but it is so damaged that it is impossible to play. The staff is trying to get some atmosphere but I feel the commune areas are too old and not welcoming anymore so it doesn't work. The hostel is full of posters on the wall with a list of things that are forbidden to do, whereas everyone is here for that anyway. I feel the hostel need to be refurbished and re-decorated to be back in the game !

lovely historic building but way too noisy if you want to chill out. Would be a 4 star otherwise.

Big hostel, big enough for party or relax.
Had a single room in this hostel, from what I saw of the dorm rooms all were pretty standard hostel bunk dorms really. Single room was bigger than expected with large double bed but mattress is due a replacment. Full width windows looking out of the front of the hostel onto Av. Americas, good job the windows sealed good enough cos its a pretty busy noisy street until fairly late. Bedding warm enough for La Paz night. Location, although finding the actual hostel was a little tricky (more to do with La Paz in general than the hostel I think), was perfect, 2 min walk to the Cathedral, 2 again to market area. Felt safe even at night due to it being a fairly busy central area. Place clean enough and busy, plenty of trips and tours to do, hostel and booking staff very helpful. Loads of computers if needed, pool/tennis. Large bar/kitchen/nightclub on top floor with amazing views of La Paz. My room was just enough away from bar to not be too noisy but you can never account for your neighbours! Plenty big enough hostel for good party time or quiet time if you want to avoid.
