Lovely oasis in the middle of Gambia
A real oasis in the middle of "real" Gambia. Hibiscus House is away from the usual tourist strip and in a street in a real bustling Gambian village. The hotel is about to be upgraded but despite this it was still a lovely place to stay. Will a lovely pool surrounded by stunning gardens full of amazing birds. The staff are fantastic and go out of their way to make you as comfortable as possible and help with every aspect of your stay in Gambia; sourcing drivers and tour guides and making bookings for you. Only about a fifteen minute walk to the local beach and a ten minute taxi ride from Sennagambia. The food is wonderful, in ten nights we only went out twice! The best steak EVER!! and some fantastic fish dishes. All in all a lovely place to stay if you want to be away from the touristy areas in a smaller boutique style hotel.
