The room that I booked was not available upon check in, after checking in I was told to wait for the room which was never ready I was offered one of there new rooms upon entering the room it was under construction I had to go back to the reception, I as giving another room smaller not what I had reserved. The bath sink was clogged and the shower bottom to change the water was broken. I was offered a complementary dinner we ordered a steak and could not even eat it because it was to hard that service in this hotel was horrible this is the second time this has happened to me you as hotels. Com don’t do anything but I still want people to know how horrible the service and rooms are in this hotel.

I booked a king size bed I received a 2 queen room I stayed with the room because I did late check in and was tired from the flight. The stand up shower was clogged up. I have stayed multiple times only for one night and still need to put a deposit. And paying for parking is out of hand.

Horrible experience!
We had the worst stay at the Catalonia hotel! First issues were the room. Dirty, bathroom was not well kept, the electricity in the room would go out every time we would plug something into the outlets. The room ac/heat would not operate properly. The entire hotel electricity also went out during our stay for an extended amount of time which caused injury to my partner upon going out. The room looks nothing like the quality of the pictures. We brought these issues to the staff and manager and they did nothing to fix the complaints. Everything they told us they would do to try to resolve the dissatisfaction they didn’t follow through with anything. Instead the manager lied and wasted hours of our time. The worst thing that happened is the staff who checked us in stole my debit card information upon check in! This was the only time i used my card during my stay with Catalonia, and also during my entire trip there to Santo Domingo. The only people who were able to see my card information was the Catalonia staff that checked us in. The following day I had a transaction being flagged for a store not far from the hotel for over $1300.00 dollars. Then a few days later another transaction was taken out with my debit information. I had to close my debit account and file fraud because of this. Absolutely unacceptable customer service and the worst experience visiting the Santo Domingo Catalonia!

Sad, not a place for hold members
I was not offered an upgrade at check in. They did not take a credit card for incidentals and I had to charge meals on the credit card at thier restaurant, so I did not receive a 20% discount as a benefit. In short, not customer friendly, they seek to maximize revenue by skipping gold benefits.
