First of all, I tried multiple times to reach the hotel but it continually rang using the number from hotels.com confirmation. I then looked up the number on the internet and there was a different number. Still no answer. I contacted hotels.com who tried to reach the hotel. Unsuccessful, too! They instructed me that when I got to the hotel, if unable to reach the hotel staff, to call back and they would find me another place for the night. Upon reaching the hotel, the OPEN sign was on the door but no one answered. I called the late arrival number and got a recording that the number was not a working number. I proceeded to knock hard on the door until someone came. The person was rude and when I told her that none of the three numbers were correct, she was oblivious to anything that I said. She said that the owner kept getting messages on his machine all evening about people trying to reach the hotel but never picked up on the calls. The room was a disaster. The door was difficult to open from the inside, there were huge extension cords running around the room, the commode overflowed, the sink was stopped up, there was no shower head and no hot water. The flow of the water from the shower was a mere trickle. The mattresses were from the 50’s or felt that old! The sheets and blankets had holes in them. The tv was definitely from the 50’s.
