Hotel Due Torri, Rome
Hidden Gem in a Charming Neighborhood
We absolutely loved this hotel! Two things stood out for us: the friendliness of the staff and the excellent location. The hotel and our room is full of charm. It was build before the 1500’s, so don’t expect the same amount of space as an American hotel room. However our room so very clean and worked perfectly for us and our two carry ons. We enjoyed the free breakfast every morning which included an assortment of pastries and cakes, toast with butter or cheese, tomato slices, boiled eggs, and more. If you wanted to order espresso, they’d make it for you. The neighborhood where the hotel sits was the best part of our stay. It’s in between the Spanish Steps and the Campo De Fiori neighborhood with charming little side streets and restaurants. I am very thankful we booked this place with a 24/hr front desk. It was so nice to have a friendly face greet us and answer questions whenever we needed. They gave us a map and helped us get to where we needed to go. A few things to keep in mind: the building is historic so the elevator, hallways, stairways, and bathroom are small. There’s no way they could fit a queen bed up the stairs- it’s two twins pushed together. I can’t say enough about this hotel. It was so perfect.

Very Good8.0
Comfortable stay but no elevator
There was no elevator so we had to take 2 big suitcases upstairs manually. Also we ended up staying in another building so if you are booked here, don't take your suitcases up to the main lobby because you may have to bring it down to go to the other building. Otherwise everything went well.

Small rooms and the building is not well marked.

Hotel Due Torri, Rome
Hotel Due Torri is perfect for my Roman Holiday
Everything about Hotel Due Torri is perfect. Our room was large (by Roman standards), with an armoire closet. Cynthia, the owner took time to greet and meet us at the generous breakfast. Her staff answered every question well. Taxis to almost everywhere from the hotel’s central location near the river but close to Piazza Navona cost us an average of $5-7 Eur, cheap (such as the Colliseum). It was an easy short walk to Piazza Navona, Campo di Fiori, Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. We enjoyed the river cruise and the Hop on Hop off Bus, the Restaurant Alfredo (originators of Fettuccine Alfredo) just 50 meters from the hotel, our great local deli and bakery. A stay in Rome will be enhanced by a stay at the Hotel Due Torri and booking it when I return will be the first thing I do.
