My sister and I were comfortable and our room was cleaned daily. The only disappointment was the mini fridge, which was more like a freezer, with no control over the coolness level.

This is my second stay at the Cottonwood Inn in Salem. Very decent people. Unlike some corporate chain motels, they did not have a rigid deposit demand and waiver I must initial off, so as to set the tone that they do not trust me. On the contrary, they are dignified and decent people and act like they care. I have been helped by the personable staff who went beyond the call of duty in getting me local info I needed that I never could have gotten without them. (This was my experience). It is a basic place to stay, not luxurious, but everything one needs in a place to spend a night is there and the staff are accommodating. Would recommend.

Beware!
Experience was terrible as they were advertised as pet friendly, and when we arrived told us that they had changed their policy and turned us away while taking my elderly parents to visit relatives. Left on our own to find a substitute at the last minute without options for a minimum of 20 miles in any direction.

Clean and comfortable
Grateful the front desk was open late, as we arrived after 11pm after driving from Memphis airport. Friendly staff. Enjoyed oatmeal and coffee in the morning. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. I will make this my top choice when returning to Salem, Arkansas.
