Awesome, affordable and very comfortable, a
Really nice hotel, wonderful staff, super comfortable beds, nice amenities in the room, delicious breakfast (I was expecting a small breakfast and they went over the top). We were asked several times if everything was OK and if we were comfortable. They even sent us an email asking us if we had left something behind. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a great place to stay in Malmo.

Second to none hotel
Havshotellet was fabulously appointed and well located opposite a beautiful marina. It maintains an original exterior with a well finished interior. The rooms were very comfortable, providing beds with adjustable comfort levels and nice touches such as under floor heating. The breakfast looked minimal at first glance but actually provided a wide range of foods and drink suiting all tastes. Delicious! The staff were great and welcoming. We would definitely recommend a stay there.

A gem of a smaller hotel - highly recommended
Highly recommended - a lovely stay and a pleasant surprise once inside. Normally stay at The Radisson or Scandic but they were full so were found this little gem in a quiet neighbourhood and waterside location and easy parking/bus/taxis. Our taxi from the station wasn't sure where it was quite and we were all conused when the address took us to what looked like a shopping centre...eventually we found the hotel sign and realised it is within a 1960's ? residential apartment block which let's it down, but more could be made of the entrance area and signage to overcome this as once inside you will be transformed into another placewith a most fantastic scent of calm and efficiency (basil flower?) and greeted by a very welcoming and efficient young man. The rooms are all individual and well designed and thought out with plenty of electrical sockets, good working area and comfortable bed (adjustable firmness). Breakfast was fantastic and nothing too much trouble. Sadly there is no lift and no rooms on the groundfloor. Some excellent local dining options make up for lack of in hotel evening dining and bar. Would happily return again. Prices seem to vary on booking sites - when we stayed it was very reasonable, but the latest ocassion I looked it was much more than the Scandic etc so perhaps they don't seasonally adjust like others?. Sure we will be back as we are regularly in the area.

5 night stay
Had a really nice relaxing stay hotel was very nice with individually themed rooms. Very comfortable bed which you could adjust the firmness first time I had ever had that. Breakfast was traditional Swedish food and had a good varied selection of things which was all of a good quality. I liked the location of the hotel great for walks along the coast and views of the bridge also nice marina close by. Very easy to get into centre of malmo by bus took about 15 minutes. All in all a very nice stay in what was my first time in Scandinavia and will return again at some stage.
