Perfect for our needs
We booked this for the NYE weekend which included a touring Hollywood and a Universal Studios trip. Everything you need to do for a Hollywood Vacation is close and convenient. The HOUSE (not a Hotel, please be sure to accurately do your homework before booking) is beautiful and was perfect for what we needed with a convenient patio door to go in and out, load and unload. The host provided some delicious home cooked breakfast that you wont get at a hotel where you may be paying more. Next time we take another Hollywood trip this will definitely be the first place we will check for availability! Thank you Mr. G for the accomadations!

Great House!
You will not find a more kind, gracious host. You'll be treated like an old friend, don't miss breakfast. I plan to return soon. With accommodations for either the solo traveler, or your entire family, it's ideal for those longer trips and you'll save a few bucks too. Nestled in the Hollywood Hills just above Studio City, the location is ideal. A stones throw from most attractions and restaurants. A true value in the land of expensive accommodations, and a real breakfast is included.

Great place to stay
This is an Air bnb style “hotel”. The house is in a neighborhood minutes from Universal Studios. The address on the building was not the same as the address on the reservation, but we were still able to find it by calling the number on the reservation. The manager is very kind and wakes up early everyday to cook breakfast in the kitchen. There are lots of options to choose from. Our room was a tiny bit warm but the provided fan and open windows kept it cooler at night. I would definitely stay here again if I plan to visit the Hollywood area.

The “Mini Mansion” wasn’t at all a special place, or even a professionally-run B&B, but outdated, untidy and in need of renovations/repair. I opened the window in our room (#2) and the screens were disgustingly dusty. A smoke alarm was annoyingly chirping in the owner’s office and we had to ask her to replace the battery. She did, but thought it would be fine to leave the battery out. NO! That’s both dangerous and illegal for a business! Breakfast left a lot to be desired! Amy said it took the housekeeper/cook 2 hours to get to the Mini Mansion (not our problem!) so Amy did the same unappealing cooked breakfast on our first 2 days. Other guests asked for scrambled eggs and she replied “I boiled the eggs today”. There were styrofoam plates and plastic utensils…not eco or guest-friendly!! At least the bagels, cream cheese and yoghurts were fresh …unlike the stale doughnuts and wrinkly grapes we were offered. I didn’t appreciate having to listen to Amy’s medical woes and problems either, especially after my Dad had recently died. The carpets were dirty and stained; the backs of the chairs sticky; droopy flowers on the table were sitting in putrid water; kitchen cabinet doors were left open and dirty pots and pans in the sink; the guest fridge water filter needed changing; the broken beige tiling on the stairs was mended with black tape; etc Our room did have a powerful air fan and a variety of brand-name toiletries though, and it was a safe walk to Universal Studios.
