Don't waste your money
The area was lovely. Pub meal was cheap and OK, mash was good, frozen veg and pie just tasted like a load of cheese. Drinks were nice and cheap. Good points were the man and woman doing the morning shift they were very friendly and lovely, let us leave our bags as we were going to the footbal and made us a lovely veggie breakfast the next day, even though the girl that checked us in never told us about a breakfast form. The girl who checked us in was awful when we came back from the football. She was extremely unfriendly and never told us what time breakfast was and never told us that we had to fill out a breakfast form. She was more concerned about playing with her baby whilst she was meant to be working and looked at me like something on the bottom of her shoe. The room was way overpriced and very unclean. The bathroom is awful, the carpet was unhoovered, it had bits all over the floor. The bathroom needs urgently doing up. They need to give the barmaid who checked us in customer service training and spend more money on doing there rooms up and a decent cleaner. I felt totally ripped off for the money I paid and wished I had stayed in a premier Inn or something instead.

Affordable and easy hotel
Unexpectedly good stay, didn't have good first impression from the exterior and was around 15 minute walk from town so not very central. However, nicely decorated rooms and friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom was fine but could maybe do with a paint job. Overall you get what you pay for, nice nights stay and breakfast included. Would definitely stay there again if slightly more central or in the summer months for a nice stroll into the town.
