Very Trendy, Clean, and Fun Hostel
This is the best hostel in Kyoto for sure. It is very trendy and clean, with unique rooms and well maintained bathrooms on every floor. The staff were all young and fun people, making the stay very comfortable and very social if you want it to be. The rooms have great AC and thick walls so we never heard any noise when inside our room, and the deck on the rooftop was absolutely beautiful with good views of the downtown area. It is a very short, convenient walk from the train station to here and is definitely a place that you should stay at to save money and be close to transportation around the city!

A No-Brainer Booking Over Here
Such a great, fun hostel! The lobby area has a bar with great selection of drinks and food. Always good music and interesting people coming in and out. The beds and their cubicles were perfectly sized and nice and sheltered so it was surprisingly quiet compared to most of my hostel experiences. Staff there was also amazing, very accommodating and kind. A lot of different cultures and people so you never know who you’ll meet. Also it’s vicinity to the train station makes for an easy affordable decision next time I’m in Kyoto.

Great hostel, clean room and sharing bathroom, near Kyoto station, happy ambiance. And the greatest of all is they can rent us bike with 1000 yen/person/day to explore Kyoto! Thank you Mosaic, will stay again someday if we have a change to come to Kyoto again 😊

Exceeded all expectations!!!
Awesome friendly and helpful staff. Has a bar and cafe on main level. Mattress was the only downside. It was a thin mattress, but has been common on my travels in Japan. Restroom and showers are private individual stalls.

The Quiet, Comfy and Cozy Hostel
The best Hostel I have stayed at out of like 10 in my life so far. Every aspect of the Hostel is designed for quietness. The beds are comfy, don't make creaking noises when you move. The locker room is outside of the bedroom, so you don't have to hear everybody zipping/unzipping loud bags. The lockers are huge, I could fit my full size carry-on bag and full size 17" laptop backpack in there. The downstairs lounge is real cozy. Free breakfast Tea. The breakfast meals are prepped from a real kitchen and are very tasty and very affordable. The upstairs rooftop deck is pretty sweet. There is an elevator. There is a bike rental shop that is a 5 minute walk with electric pedal assist bikes that are sweet. Recommend that for sure.
