Great hotel, peculiar entrance
It was a bit difficult at first, finding the entrance. There was just a small elevator to take you to the desk. Afterwards, I was able to use the stairs and the unmarked door to the outside. It may be that I was just acquainted with too many hotels that are designed like this. Really, once I figured it out, there was no problem. Every person who was at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. I will definitely use this hotel again. The location, as well, is excellent.

Good base hotel
The hotel is perfectly located right in the middle between Xmas market and the train station, so you get the best of both worlds. The hotel itself is not as fancy as you would expect from a 3* American hotel, but it served our needs. The staff was excellent, the beds, rooms and breakfast were good. The hotel feels a little rundown, but it is very well worth the money we paid. I would definitely recommend it to someone who uses it as a base for day trips.

Hidden gem in perfect location
So close to everything. Just a few steps from the train station and made getting to the Christmas markets very easy. Finding my way up there was a little trick but this is definitely a hidden gem.

The location is fantastic and the folks working at the hotel were very helpful and friendly! If you want fancy rooms with all the modern amenities, you might want to look at newer hotels. But if you want a great location within the walls of medieval Nürnberg, walking distance to the bus and train stations, I'd definitely recommend Hotel Garni Probst.
