Absolutely charming
The name of the hotel in English is "The Old Rectory". As such it is full of charm. The room we had was particularly charming as it was in the old bake house at the back of the hotel.
The staff could not have been nicer. Breakfast was superb. Also of note is that the adjoining restaurant is worth a visit in its own right.

Convenient for road trip/travel
Nice hotel, but no food available in the evening when I arrived so had to drive to the village and food is not of good quality or the town has no high quality or atmospheric restaurants.
But aside from that, the hotel and room itself was spotless and the staff very friendly and accommodation very good.

Small charming hotel. Clean and comfortable!
Clean and comfortable. Beautiful gardens surrounding the hotel restaurant.
Great breakfast. The staff went out of their way to help arrange tickets for a concert I wanted to attend in Cologne.
Phillipe called our hotel in Cologne and sent an email to ensure that the tickets would be ordered and they were waiting for us when we arrived

Quiet and peaceful
Very quaint house about 250 years old. The room is relatively spacious. Bathroom was very clean and spacious. Bed very comfortable. The room was quiet and peaceful. Staff were very attentive. They even ironed my shirt for me at a moment's notice. The food at breakfast was very good. Eggs well cooked. Bacon relatively crisp. Coffee good. Next door to a very good German restaurant. Highly recommended. I will likely return to Saarlouis for business and will definitely stay here again.

Lovely place,very pretty, olde worlde style hotel. Nice staff, nice breakfast. Only reason I didn't give it straight 5s was that the annex in which I stayed, had poor WiFi.

Es ist ein schönes ruhig Bed and Breakfast Hotel allerdings ist ein Hotel im gleiche Haus. Das frühstück ist sehr umfangreich. Die Parklplätze und das WLAN sind kostenlos
