Amazing. This is easily a 5 star for location, price and features. Unbelievable staff and again, a location only 9 minutes walk to RedSquate, GUM, St. Basil.

Great, cheap little hotel in the heart of Moscow
This was a great hotel for our stay in Moscow. I was a little skeptical after some of the reviews, but I would have to try very hard think of any complaints I would have. The walls were thin I suppose, but our next room neighbor was fortunately pretty quiet. We could hear the TV and conversations easily, however. Other than that, the location was fantastic. The metro station is literally outside the front door. Red Square is a 10 minute walk down the same street the hotel is on. I saw 3 or 4 different front desk receptionists during our stay and they all spoke English. They wanted to hold my passport on arrival to make copies of something, which I thought was odd (I waited until they were done, I don't like not having my passport), but we stayed in a 2nd hotel later on and that hotel did the same thing. The WiFi was very good at Maroseyka. That is a BIG factor in my hotel choice and fear not, this hotel has a good, average internet speeds (5Mbps down, about 500K up) that worked great for video conferencing with family a continent away. Others complained about no elevator, and it's true, but wasn't a big deal for me (an able bodied male) to carry the luggage up to the 3rd FL. Also, the entrance is through an alley from the main street and may intimidate some women, but I thought the area around the hotel was just fine, so no worries there.

Don't judge a book by its cover.
Great little hotel for the price. The location is superb : within easy walking distance to Red Square and Kremlin. Metro stop is on the corner. Friendly and helpful reception. Entrance was through a rather dingy courtyard and we feared the worst. Not at all like the photo on this website. Hotel was converted from offices and designed in modern minimalist style. Don't be out off by the entrance.
