Charming tucked away Hotel
The building is really unique and interesting just to walk around it, especially the central ballroom with old shopping storefronts from the 70s and the stained glass ceiling. Check in was really easy and the staff friendly. Each floor has its own common areas which are neat to examine. The room we stayed in was the "Captian's Quarters" With a little nook. It was charming, although we did find that we had to be careful not to clock our heads on the weird ceiling shapes going to/from the bathroom. Eureka is a pretty quiet town and we arrived there on a Sunday night. A lot of things were shut down, but there were plenty of options nearby. We ended up at the Brewery a few blocks away. Just up the road is also some Victorian houses, notably the Carson house which is private - but fun to look at from the outside for a quick stop.

Unique rooms in historic town
My boyfriend and I had a short overnight stay in Eureka and loved our stay at the Inn at 2nd & C! We were immediately greeted by Nick, who was friendly and so helpful in grabbing ice for us. He also gave us local restaurant recommendations based on the few criteria we gave him. Lots of different food options nearby. We got there just in time for our free drink from the Parlour Lounge and received great service from Risa. My boyfriend immediately went back there to spend the rest of our night after dinner and enjoyed chatting with other patrons. We stayed in the Professor Plum room on the 4th floor and had a multi-angle view of the town, including views of the water. The bed was also so comfy and I had a hard time waking up my boyfriend the next morning...ha! Each room is unique and really brought out the character of the inn. We also took complimentary continental breakfast for the road. My minor critiques: I wish there was more shelf/storage space in the bathroom, no mini fridge to store our food leftovers, and the windows were hard to close and looked like there were small gaps. Otherwise, great stay and would not hesitate to come back.

A pleasant stay
Our stay was very enjoyable. We loved all of the antique furniture and architecture. We would have liked to have a more convenient bathroom. There was no shelf on which to put your things and it was a little cramped. There was black mold on the base of the shower and door. We enjoyed relaxing in the bar and listening to the jazz musician. Breakfast was a real treat with pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit and much else. All and all in was a very pleasant stay.
