Staff is outstanding!!! Helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming. This hotel is perfectly located to attend the event venues nearby. It's a quick walk to the train station for getting out to the city to see the sites. I highly recommend JAZ Amsterdam!!!

Pros and Cons
Very modern and clean hotel, the beds are very comfortable but for convenience it's a bad choice it's in a location that has nothing around and the hotel is hard to find! The breakfast is on the 2nd floor is a nice restaurant with a buffet. The main restaurant on the main floor is very loud and over priced, there is no where else in the vicinity to eat, train station is near by which is convenient

Fits beautifully into the local architecture
Excellent facilities, internet, location, modern, and comfortable. I enjoyed the space-age shower and the plentiful number of power outlets. Nice to have a working fridge, coffee maker with capsules, and security and quiet for sleeping.

Great Stay at the Jaz
We really enjoyed our stay at the Jaz. The beds were huge and one of the most comfortable we've stayed on. We had our teen with us and they made him a very nice, cozy bed too. The sauna, work out room and relaxation area were a nice touch. The hotel is only 5-10 minute walk from the station. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The area is out of the city about 15 min. via the metro but we didn't mind at all. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Don't stay here, just pay for city center.
After a 8 hr drive to get there we checked in, and I drove my van to the underground parking structure. It was a large mini van and could barely fit thru the garage door. The parking is 24.50 euros a day by the way. Then in the parking garage none of the signs are in English. So I walked around to find the stairs to hotel again not clearly marked there is also a stadiums there, and the parking lot is used for that as well. I was told I have to pay for parking each night so I inserted the parking ticket into the machine downstairs to pay for it and found out you can't pay until you leave. Then the doors leading to the hotel from the garage were locked and when I pressed the call button and got the front desk a girl picked up said something in Dutch and hung up. Door was still locked I called again and this time she unlocked it and spoke in English with a very annoyed tone. I went upstairs and I had forgotten the room number so I asked the girl that just just checked me in and she said I needed to prove my identity with a passport. I had just sent my bag upstairs with my family with my passport. Then she asked for a confirmation number which I also did not have. I have her my name and so on and she said she could not use that, finally I asked could I use my US driver's license and she agreed. Then she said she would have to issue a new key because I could not use the elevator without a room key. I got the impression it was an unsafe area even though the room cost wasn't cheap.
