Super-quiet & central
The most practical little place to stay in Amsterdam! This hotel is so nicely located at 10 min walk from the Central Station, still on the quiet side where are no bars in its immediate vicinity. The rooms are renewed, everything is clean and practical. The elevator is so cool, the slowest possible - in order to not shake to much this historical building ❤️. The staff is very helpful, good hosts! I’ll stay here next time :)

Thumbs up for Hotel Library
I had a very pleasant stay. Location was perfect for my needs. Small room and bathroom had everything I needed. Angle for viewing TV over the bed was a bit strange, but workable. Fresh fruit daily was appreciated. Overall, very satisfied.

Pre Cruise Stay
This is the worst place I have ever stayed and I wouldn't have stayed if we had not prepaid. There was an odd smell in our room when we checked in, but it seemed to disappear. Then, just as we were getting into bed, there was a gurgling noise in the bathroom. Shortly thereafter, a horrible odor enveloped us. We turned on the fan(no a/c), which helped, and went to sleep. The odor was better in the morning, but still there. Since we were going to be out all day, we left hoping it would be better when we returned. Again that night as we were preparing for bed, there was a gurgling followed by a horrible odor. We propped the door open and used the fan to clear out the smell. During the night into the next morning, the smell became so noxious, we thought we would be ill. By then, we realized that the smell was probably gas being released from the sewer. Had we realized what it was earlier, we would have requested another room. The staff was completely non-chalant about it. It is a shame because this hotel had a perfect location, the bed was ok, the bath had nice finishes and the breakfast was pretty good. However, I don't think they should be allowed to offer rooms like ours-I'm reasonably sure it was a health hazard.
