Good experience. Convenient location to the National Mall. Hotel staff was friendly. Hotel restaurant has a limited menu but the food was good.

Ran into a few issues with card access to pool area. Pool is on the small size and not heated. Room was clean.

Very nice hotel. There aren't may hotels in DC that are really close to metro stations. This one is very good, about 7 minutes walking to 2 stations. It is as convenient as you can probably find. I would stay again. It is clean and modern. There is a pretty nice outdoor pool. There is food available on site. Not a huge selection, but it will do. The breakfast is really good. (Just don't let the pancakes sit too long, they get hard.) Our room looked over the pool and to the interstate, but we didn't hear the road at all. We did, however, hear doors closing and people being rudely loud in the hallways (not the hotel's fault). Our bathroom was nice, no tub but not an issue for us. One morning we slept in and I showered later and the water did slow down to almost a trickle but picked up again right away. I don't know if that was an anomaly or not but only happened to me once and for just a second or 2. Room was big, internet was good. Even though this is 2018, there were NO USB charging ports in the room. Most rooms now have plugs on the lamps or walls, but there was only one here--on the alarm clock--and it did not work. Not even one on the TV, so make sure to bring your plug. There is also a fridge. Overall it's very nice and felt safe walking back late at night from the sites. I WOULD NOT BOOK WITH HOTELS.COM AGAIN--RIP YOU OFF YOUR NIGHTS WHEN YOU USE THEIR 5% OFF CODE. SO STEER CLEAR OF HOTELS.COM AND THEIR APP. USE EXPEDIA.

Great hotel, great staff, good location
Great hotel in great shape. Clean, no weird smells or anything, very quiet. Food was good, free breakfast had a good selection. Non-breakfast food moderately expensive but very good. Staff was very friendly. 3-4 blocks from two different Metro stations, so that was handy. (For those of us from less-dense areas, a "block" is surprisingly long.) 5-6 blocks from the Smithsonian area of the National Mall. DC apparently has a "no signs" policy. If you go looking for someplace to eat or a drugstore or anything, remember to look in the alcoves tucked under all the buildings. Also, they roll up the sidewalks on the weekends - very, very few fast-food joints or drugstores or whatnot are open on Sunday. Hotel is right next door to NASA headquarters, which has a good gift shop. There were a few panhandlers and homeless folks in the area, so be prepared to be braced for hand-outs. DC police officers are some of the best in the nation. If they're not involved in something intense they're great at helping with directions, and around the National Mall area they're *everywhere*. "If at first you don't succeed, ask a cop." Without exception they were friendly and obviously quite used to dealing with knuckleheaded tourists.
