Very Good
Lovely village pub
The George Inn is a charming old pub with accommodation rooms upstairs. We stayed mid week, in winter, and there were lots of locals eating at the pub restaurant. Dinner was delicious (steak pies, and fish & chips, with Eton Mess for dessert - perfect!) Breakfast was included, cooked to order by a very friendly young local man who was happy to chat. Hot pots of tea were served with lovely fine bone china cups & saucers - a very nice touch - and happily provided even after the breakfast was finished. No charge because we were staying there! I would stay there again in a heartbeat - it is a brilliant location if visiting Windsor Castle or even if just wanting to wander around a small English village; and quite close to Heathrow if flying in/out. Full disclosure - the stairs up to the rooms are tight, as expected in an old building, and there is no car parking on site but we had no problem parking at the front door to load luggage.

Charming inn for an overnight stay.
Eton is charming and steps from Windsor Castle. The George Inn was perfect for an overnight stay. Breakfast was both free and delicious. Be sure and reserve a table if you are planning to have dinner there.

excellent location just by bridge from ascot to walk straight into Windsor. Great Welcome, wonderful traditional English pub with great rooms and full English breakfast included.
