I’ve stayed previously (pre-Covid) and remember how excellent their breakfast was at the time. They had fresh berries, gluten free and low carb options, and the hot part of the breakfast was actually quite good. It was much better than a typical free hotel breakfast.
This time they had the standard apples, oranges, and bananas and all of them were past their prime. The apples were all wrapped in plastic wrap (super wasteful, though possible required since Covid,) and every one was so soft and grainy my kids wouldn’t eat them. Not a single option was low carb other than the meat, which I couldn’t eat due to a pork allergy. Even the scrambled eggs had ham in them. A tiny yogurt had over 30 grams of carbs and 25 of those were sugar. The rest of the options included your standard continental breakfast muffins, oatmeal, danish, etc. Even my kids weren’t impressed, and they eat crap off the floor.
All that said, if you don’t mind a fairly standard but not great breakfast, the rest of the hotel is decent. It was clean and everything was in working order in our room.
The hot tub was out, which was disappointing. It didn’t look like it was a recent closure as it was filthy and looked like it had been broken and sitting with stagnant water for a while. It would have been nice to have that reflected in the hotel info prior to booking. But it wasn’t a dealbreaker. I’d stay again, but bring my own breakfast and call ahead to see if the hot tub was functional.
