We had a wonderful stay. All staff were welcoming, polite, professional and couldn't do any more to help. Special thank you to Amin who went the extra mile and sorted cream tea for us that we missed out on (mistake on our side!). 7 course tasting meal was a great experience and breakfast the following morning was cooked to perfection. Definitely going back. One of the best all-round hotels we've stayed at. Thank you all

Merewood is a beautiful country house hotel. We had a perfect stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the hotel and its grounds are just lovely. We ate in the Arboreal restaurant and, wow, what a treat that was. Really couldn't have been better

The ambiance and area where the hotel is situated was quiet and tranquil, which helped towards a comfortable stay. Helpful and friendly staff on hand. However the stairs up to the room can be a little narrow and the room itself was too small. A standard room in a budget hotel like Travelodge or Premier Inn feels much bigger and spacious than our room. Overall, I would consider staying again – but ideally in a larger room.

Exquisite hotel in a fantastic location, amazing staff made us feel so welcome. From the receptionist, barman, to the restaurant staff all super friendly and welcoming. Food at the restaurant was some of the best we have ever had. Room was super comfy and clean, great views over Windermere, will definitely be going back.

We had an amazing weekend at Merewood County House.It was in a great location. Our room was huge with a great view of the lake. Everything was spotlessly clean and well set out. Absolutely wonderful staff, front of house host was lovely and very welcoming. Beautiful cosy atmosphere in the three social areas we visited (bar,lounge and library). Lovely hotel overall, will need to try the restaurant next time as we arrived later in the evening. Very welcoming to our dogs which was much appreciated! Lovely rooms. Will definitely return!
