    DO NOT STAY HERE
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Avoid at all costs. I entered the hotel room, laid down after a long day of travel only to find dried BLOOD on the sheets underneath me. My cousin checked into the second room under our booking and immediately broke out in a rash all over her arm and back. We left the hotel and went to stay at the Chaokoh Phi Phi hotel instead. The rooms here are not cleanly. When we asked to leave, the hotel informed us that they could not refund us and that Hotels.com would be responsible for our refund. When I reached out to Hotels.com after our trip, they contacted the hotel and the Banyan staff denied all of this and refused to issue a refund. Hotels.com was not helpful at all and did not push for a refund either. I am disgusted by the terrible service and refusal to issue a refund after our experience here.

    Close to ferry
This hotel is well located close to where the ferry docks and lots of restaurants etc (Phi Phi is a small island so everything close really). It is quiet and generally peaceful. Reception staff are not all that well trained and not that helpful when asking directions. Had minor altercation with security and front desk when we returned from a snorkling trip with some friends who wanted to see our hotel as they were not that happy with where they were staying, unfortunately house rules are no guests so they were denied access even after we explained it was only for a 5 min look around to see if they wanted to change hotels. Only get one key so can't leave aircon running while you at dinner etc and aircon takes a while to cool room back to a liveable temp. I finally got a spare key but had to pay 2000baht deposit.

    Hotel with AC
This hotel was a good experience, but it was just that. Good. The AC worked great, the pool was nice, and it was walking distance from the pier. Although it was far from the bars and quieter than other hotels, there was a man who sang every morning very loud around 4:30/5am, waking us up each morning. Room was clean, but there were still some bugs, bedding/pillows were hard as a rock, and walls were extremely thin to where you could hear someone in the room next door. There were many rules throughout your stay including- to drop your key each time you leave, check in pass needed for breakfast (with date), pass needed for gym daily, pass needed for towels, limited to one towel each day (they do not tell you), fines for many things throughout stay, etc. From what I say in other reviews, this hotel looked a lot better, but I believe one stay is more than enough at this location.

    Exceptional 10.0
    Best hotel on Phi Phi
This resort has been in every possible way nothing less than outstanding. The whole place is extremely clean, from the passages to the pool and rooms. Staff were very friendly and breakfast is excellent. Breakfast has a nice mix of western and local dishes. We stayed in Room 413 which is located towards the back of the premises, so it was also very nice and quiet. Location is ideal because it is so close to all the shops for food / shopping and quick walk to the pier if you arrive by ferry. It is about a 30 minute walk down to Shark Point for great snorkelling too if you don't wish to take a water taxi. I would definitely recommend this hotel as the number 1 choice to anybody. Nothing could have been better.

    Great Location and clean
Our stay here was very good. This hotel has a prime location right across from the beach and close to all the shopping, restaurants and bars. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and our rooms were cleaned promptly in the morning. We didn't use any of the amenities because my girlfriend and I were always out and about exploring, shopping, or enjoying the night life, but the pool looked legit and this property also has a gym which is rare for Thailand. Also you get complimentary breakfast from the restaurant next door which was pretty decent, but nothing spectacular. The only complain I would have is that the beds are rather hard and we had a street facing room, so in the middle of the night you will hear loud party goers pass by on their way home from the bars. Having said that if I ever came back to Phi Phi again it would definitely be a place I'd stay again.
